Vivian Maier

What a fascinating story.  A nanny called Vivian Maier spent her days off wandering the streets of Chicago with a Hasselblad indulging herself in her hobby... street photography.  Completely unknown until a historian buys her negatives at an auction and discovers a fantastic talent.  He is unable to discover who took the photographs until a few days after her death when he comes across her obituary and connects the name to the person.

The images she took may well put Vivian Maier amongst the greats of social photographers.  I am completely wowed by the quality and skill that she displayed and find it quite incredible that this remarkable body of work could have easily been lost forever.
